From my experience as a design professional, I have learned a few things about renovations and remodelling projects, some of them the hard way! With this series of books, I aim to help others renovate with greater confidence.
When the renovation is complete, you need to do a final walkthrough with your clients. You need to carefully take note of any and all deficiencies. Then you need to communicate these to the trades. The trades should not receive their final payments until all those deficiencies have been addressed. I give the trades one week to address all the deficiencies.
